Neighborhood boundries are Ute Valley Trail on the north, N. Douglass Trail on the west, Elkton Dr on the South and I-25 on the east. There are approximately 600 homes in this neighborhood. Natural boundries make the neighborhood very secluded and insulated from sights and sounds of the city.
The Pinecliff area includes two city parks. Pinecliff Park covers 2.7 acres located at Popes Valley Dr. and Haverhill Pl. There are playground, baseball, basketball and picnicking facilities; as well as sidewalk paths.
Ute Valley Park is 338 acres of craggy, sparsely forested bluffs and narrow, nameless trails that insulate hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners from the concrete and asphalt of the city. You’ll find yourself cradled in a haven of shallow draws and climbing hillsides draped in sun-bleached grasses and wildflowers. At the high points of the circuitous route you’ll see views of both Pikes Peak and the city that sprawls at its feet. The sights are striking. (The parking lot is on Vindicator just east of Centennial Blvd).
